Terms of use
Last updated 2 November 2026
Unlecture is a free study aid made by students for students. These are the rules for using it, in plain language. By creating an account you accept them.
1. What Unlecture is
Unlecture offers exam guides for courses taught at IE University: short videos, key points, exam-style quizzes, paper exercises and mock exams, plus a place to keep your notes. It is run by Unlecture, a student project run by its three founders. It is not an official product of IE University and is not endorsed by it. The course names belong to IE; we use them only to say which course a guide is about.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; what happens in your account is your responsibility.
- You can delete your account at any time on your account page. That removes your notes and progress for good.
3. Using the guides
The guides are for your own studying. Please do not:
- download, copy, record, redistribute or sell the videos, quizzes, exercises or texts;
- share your login or let someone else use your account;
- use automated tools to collect content from the site;
- try to get around the login, the security measures or another student's data.
4. Your notes
Your notes are yours. We store them only to show them back to you, in the app, as a summary or as a PDF. Do not write other people's personal data in your notes.
5. Content and copyright
The guides are written and produced by Unlecture and explain topics taught in the courses. They are protected by copyright. If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, write to support@unlecture.app and we will look into it quickly.
6. No guarantee
Unlecture is a study aid, not official course material. We check our content carefully, but it can contain mistakes and may differ from what your professor expects. Your exam result is your own responsibility. The service is provided as it is, without a promise that it is always available or error-free.
7. Payments and refunds
Unlecture is free. There is nothing to pay and therefore nothing to refund. If we ever charge for something, we will publish the price and a refund policy before you can buy it, and you will have to agree to it explicitly first.
8. Changes and closing
We may change the guides, add or remove features, or stop the service. If we stop it, we tell you in the app in advance so you can download your notes. We may close an account that breaks these rules; where reasonable we warn you first.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as the outcome of an exam. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you.
10. Law
These terms follow the law of Spain. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country and can bring a claim there.
