Cookie policy
Last updated 2 November 2026
Unlecture sets one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you logged in. It is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so the law does not require a consent banner, and we do not show one.
The cookies we set
- Login cookie (name starts with
sb-and ends with-auth-token, sometimes split into numbered parts): set by our login provider Supabase when you log in. It proves to the server that it is you. It refreshes itself while you use the site and is removed when you log out. Without it, nothing behind the login works.
Cookies we do not set
- No analytics cookies. Page views are counted by Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without identifying you.
- No advertising or social media cookies. There are none on the site.
- No browser storage of your data. Your notes and progress live in your account, not in your browser.
Videos from other companies
- Most course videos are delivered from Cloudflare storage, which sets no cookies for Unlecture.
- A few videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing loads from Google until you press play on that video. After that, Google may store data in your browser for its player; Google's cookie rules apply to it.
How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you delete the login cookie, you are logged out and can log in again. Blocking it means you cannot use your account.
